I am looking to replace the bungee sprung gear on a model 3 and looking for options. I am leaning towards Grove spring gear but the price and weight is concerning. Any advice from KF3 owners?

Back in 1999, I replaced the bungie system with the Grove option. Sure helped tracking which tamed landings and take offs considerably. Likely saved the airplane as the original bungie gear was toed in and cambered out quite a lot and made every take off and landing more exciting than I needed. The extra weight seemed not to bother. Two best upgrades were the Grove gear and the Ivo in-flight adjustable prop. The model three was a blast to fly after the upgrades mentioned. Mine had the 80 hp. Rotax.
