Well these aren't people shaped, but i bought a custom tank from
    https://www.spunaluminumgastanks.com/
for my bird, and they welded bungs right where I asked them to. Very high quality work. Don't have to worry about gas compatibility or uv breaking down the plastic and i bet they're far more resiliant in a crash than most other options. Ie not going to burst open and shower you with fuel. Might see if they can weld some plates on them that allow for securing with a seat belt.

Yes that was kind of harsh. Tell you what. I’m buy some geritol and depends for your trouble. Guess I thought theses tanks were for fuel. I wonder if you could have them made up for fuel? I have seen hoses running from them. Maybe just drains I guess.

I’m probably in the same situation as u all are. 61st b- day next week. Don’ try to act like it or talk about it though. Just was hoping to stay on this subject and see what these were all about. Damn I am getting old but refuse to give up right now.

I mounted a couple of tanks on my struts. I picked them up at Oshkosh. They were ultra light fuel tanks. They are the type that are on the Chinook ultralight.

I’ve never seen those. Gues if you go for a long Outback tour you could use those tanks for gas and have plenty of water in the torso tank and still carry 150jbs of baggage.

Those are exactly what I used!! LOL I had one on each strut. They work great. Little bit of engineering to get everything plumbed, but was pretty easy to do.

Having toured around Idaho a couple of times, 26 gallons in the wings is plenty.

It never seemed to be that bad to fly back out to McCall, Cascade or Salmon to get fuel, then hop back over the rocks to the backcountry.

Besides you'll want all of your cargo capacity for people, camping gear and food.
