    Default Landing/Recognition Lights

I'm getting started on wingtips for Std SS7 wing. I purchased the upgraded tips that have the cutout for landing/recognition lights.
The flat area where the lights can be installed is really not that big unfortunately. I'm considering a couple of different options:

    https://www.aircraftspruce.com/pages...d/microsun.php (sold by Kitfox)
    https://www.aircraftspruce.com/pages...oexceleron.php (sold by Aircraft Spruce)

Does anyone have experience installing either of these? I believe that KF designed the wingtip so the AeroLeds Microsun would fit.
Has anyone had any issues installing the MicroSun?

    Are there other options?

AeroLeds Microsuns work and fit great. Very bright. Zero noise.
I never fly without the wigwags going. Great company.

I have bought these very bright, 4500 lumen and fit the wing tips, I got the double ones all the bracket come off, I will be using the forward screws and a mounting plate just like you do on the Vans wing tips, I paid £35 approx $45. The only down side is the weight 8oz each that's twice the Aeroleds.

Another bonus for the AeroLeds is if you are building a tail dragger, you can easily shim them so that they point down a bit and provide you some light when you're actually on the ground.

Weight is another factor. Most of the non-aviation “off-road” lights are heavy. AreoLeds are half to a third the weight of the bargain priced ground vehicle lights posted here over the years. When I built my Kitfox, I considered every once, every gram attached to my airframe especially as I was going Light Sport with mine and needed to retain all the useful load possible.
The built in WigWag feature was important also and simplified wiring.
