Default Bubble doors, are yours the same?

Ok, I got the doors on and noticed yesterday one stuck out more then the other when I grabbed the inside bar to close the door.
My hand will barely go between the door and the bar on the pass side. I used a straight edge from top door frame to bottom to measure and one is 1 inch bigger bubble which is noticable looking from the front.
Would some of you measure your doors and see if I am just lucky or is this the way yours are too.
I am mounted on the flat part on both doors so I can't see where it is anything to do with mounting.

    Hi Harlan,
I just measured my doors. One side has a 1-1/8" gap, the other has a 1-7/8" gap...not quite as much difference as you're seeing but still considerable. I'm curious which component is causing this. If I had to guess I'd say the polycarbonate, but not sure.

You just started following our build on Instagram (firefox_project). Thanks - looking forward to seeing yours fly soon!

Thanks Jason. I know the pass door didn't fit when I installed the plastic to the frame several months ago. The flat area was not wide enough but it worked then I did the pilot door and it fit prefect. I see the reason now after its too late. The pass side was not pressed out all the way on the mold I'd guess or the door company has a flaw in the mold, that's why I was wondering if mine was the only one.

This explains why the kitfoxes have a left turning tendency, the pilot door sticks out!

I am liking your build also!
    Thanks. Harlan

Is the cross bar at the same location? Looks like the bar is bent towards the window more on one than the other?

Thanks Harlan. Ours is tightest on the pass side door as well. I'm about to strip and powdercoat the frames, so I'll measure to see if they're built to the same dimensions on each side.

I noticed ours where slightly different, but nothing like that. I will measure and take another look. What is the factory saying?

Same here. The approx 2 year old set that I recently installed is the same way. On the pilot door, I can almost put my whole hand between the glass and the crossmember. On the passenger side, I can just get fingers between it, up to about the second knuckle. Kind of weird. Hadn't noticed it before. I'd say a good inch difference.

Looks like my 1inch difference is not to much out of line for LP aero company. Sad this is as close as they can make bubble doors.

Looks like Eric gets the prize for the best pair!

Just watched the Kitfox Options part one video, in it John McBean demonstrates the advantage of the bubble doors, he does it on the passenger side. Maybe someone could measure the height of the bubble on a new door, I should have mine in a few weeks so I will measure mine if no one else does.
