Just watched the Kitfox Options part one video, in it John McBean demonstrates the advantage of the bubble doors, he does it on the passenger side. Maybe someone could measure the height of the bubble on a new door, I should have mine in a few weeks so I will measure mine if no one else does.

I ordered my bubble doors from Kitfox and received them direct from LP Aero Plastics about six months ago. The pilot side bubble measures 3-5/8" deep and the copilot side measures 3-1/8".

Looks like my 1inch difference is not to much out of line for LP aero company. Sad this is as close as they can make bubble doors.

Looks like Eric gets the prize for the best pair!

On the tightest side you could put a little inboard bend in the door frame crossbar, maybe 1/2", would add more handroom and probably wouldn't be noticeable.

My suspicion is that the process used to make the bubbles is similar to the one in the video above and the height of the bubble depends on the "calibration" of the eyeballs of the guy running the compressed air valve. If it was a actual mold there would be no variation. At least all the left door bubbles would be the same height and all the right door bubbles would be the same. Even if there was a difference between right and left, it would always be the same difference.
