My Series 6 has this style wingtip.

The new Kitfox have flat, fence wingtips.

What would I gain or loose by swapping out to the new style? I do like the fenced look better. Also, what are the new style tips made of?

Hello Dave. Those are not just "new" Kitfox wingtips. Those are for the STI wing which has a much thicker chord. You will need to fabricate your own for the standard wing.

You may be thinking your series 6 tips look dated but air molecules don't care. Look up Dr Hoerner, the guy that came up with them.

Just get the rest of the wing that is attached to those tips.
    That's what I did.
Then you can swap out wings for different missions.

Thanks guys! I assumed that all the wings were the same thickness. I still like the fenced look but I'm not gong to buy/store a 2nd set of wings.

Doesn't Trent have an earlier model than an STI? I wonder where he got his?
