    Default Garmin install help again...

I'm wanting to wire the CWS disconnect to my ray allen grip. I thought the switch just ran the CWS to ground to shut off the autopilot. Reading this below has me confused again.
What is an, Active low push button switch, and how do I wire this to the ray allen switch to make it turn off the autopilot? Thanks for the help.

Morning Harlan. An active low switch is one that when you press (activate), it places an ground on the pin it's connected to. Look on page 414 of your G3X manual (I'm using a manual dated November 2019) and there's a schematic that shows the switch. Think your ray allen has a ground wire and when you press the switch you want to use, you should read continuity between that ground and the wire associated with the switch.

Thanks Gary, I have that schematic and that's why I was sure it just went to ground until I read the active low stuff which as you know I'm not an electrician or kin to one. Haha. Thanks for putting it in terms I can understand.
I've got a full 8 hours to put in on the plane today I hope...
    Have a great day Gary!

    I couldn't find a 2019 version.
Here's the up to date manual I think.
