    Default Builders insurance

I’m at the point where I’m considering insuring my project. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Ben, there has been a recent ongoing thread titled "if you need insurance.." so search that on the forum and it shows up for your research. Bruce N199CL

I used Falcon when I was Building; it was very inexpensive.

I used Falcon as Jim did.

I believe the rate was 1% of the stated value per year

The quote I just got from my broker is $480/year for an $80k hull value.

I got the exact same quote. I let the EAA shop it for me.

Just to clarify - that’s for “builders insurance” (under construction), right?

Yes. I’m not sure if the exact terminology. But yes, insured as long as it’s not moving. Fire, storm, falling tree...etc
