Kitfox tailwheel spring plate is broken

Hey there!

Im Marcel from Germany, we have a Kiitfox 2/3.
Last weekend we found a problem... the upper plate from the tailwheel spring is broken.
Anyone here Who had the same problem?
And know the best was to fix it ? Is it one plate above the tube or are there two plates from each side?

This is a Model IV but I imagine they would be similar

Seems the upper mount is welded to the frame, one piece

Note the chains are not attached in this picture as of yet,

I had to fix one on a kitfox 1. I put another full sized piece under the original and welded it on where the original one cracked off. On the opposite side, bolt went thru both pieces. Be careful of protecting the fabric when you weld it. JImChuk
