    Dear Valued Customers
Air Parts Sales Unlimited LLC (APSU) Received notice from HKS .
“HKS will no longer be producing the 700E and 700T line of engines”. They will continue to sell available spare parts and keep providing after sales service.
This is devastating news for APSU and our team of OEM’s. We have limited spares available and will help as much as we can. You can email me with further questions, however we do not know much more about HKS and their future. They have chosen to ignore all communication.
    Regretfully

The following was posted by Green Sky Adventures Inc on their website (link):

Feb 7 2014 - Production Discontinuance of HKS Aircraft Engines

Green Sky Adventures, Inc. has received from HKS Engine Distributor APSU, LLC, copy of a letter to APSU, LLC from HKS Japan. Unfortunately, this letter informs of the "Discontinuance of HKS Aircraft Engine Production" and termination of distribution relationships. Relevant exerts from that letter below.

Re: Production Discontinuance of Aircraft Engine and Dealership Termination
This is to announce that HKS Co., Ltd. has decided to discontinue the production of the 700E and 700T engines
In this regards, HKS Co., Ltd. ("HKS") is unable to extend your exclusive dealership with HKS for the distribution of HKS products. Accordingly, your dealership will expire as of 30 days after the date of this letter.
Regarding your PO APSU 13-08, we would like to take this PO; however, we cannot supply you the 700E engines due to shortage of some components
In the future, we will continue to sell available spare parts that are required to service or repair. Also, we will keep providing after-sales service
HKS now suspends the aviation business for a while; however, we have no intension of selling it to other manufacturers. HKS appreciates your participation as a dealer of our products and wishes you every success in the future.

No one ever wants to hear it but Rotax is still the best, most economical, new engine option for these planes.

I love the HKS 700E in my model II, but if you're going to fly 2 people regularly and/or it's a later model Fox, more HP is needed IMHO. The 700E is perfect for something like a Micro Mong.
