Wareagle,
Great looking install! I have toyed with doing something similar but wonder what to do for making that clear lens cover... Pardon the pun but could you shed some light on what you did?
Thanks

Coming soon... we actually have developed a new tip that will allow for the microsun to be used. We plan to have a wing tip light kit using the new tips. Hope to have some pics soon.

Steve's Kitfox airborne.jpg

Larry, yours are standard set up available for years and on hundreds of Kitfox's.

Mine are totally clear from tip to trailing edge and are like the optional small tip John sells just made from clear plastic instead of fiberglass. I have all my lights mounted inside them. Maybe you can tell from this photo. They are nice but were hard to manufacture. Weigh maybe a pound each.

Clear wingtips... When Bill Prokes designed the new wingtips
for the Superport I formed the first few sets and thought it
would be fun to form a clear set. I gave Desert fox 4 and Mike
Berglund each a pair and then shipped the molds off to Idaho.
Since they are clear from LE to tip it is hard to hide spars, wires,
pitot tubes etc. Just a "for fun" project.

AeroLEDs - does anyone have inputs on - SunSpot HX versus 1600 LED landing light
SunSpot - 1,000+ lumens of light and 30,000 candela using 10 Watts of power
1600 LED - 1600 lumens of light using just 24 Watts/2 AMPs
