Covering cut size for complete plane?
Has anyone done a drawing showing how to get the most out of your 72in roll? I was wondering is some one had done a template on paper showing the sizes to cut from the roll to save material. I am doing a kf5 vixen. I would like to precut all of my pieces before I start the installation

I covered a Kitfox SS7 and there was plenty of material in the kit to cover everything without being especially careful in laying out the pieces.

I had the same thought when starting to cover. I did the wings first since they have to use what they have to use anyways. Once they were done i measured the fuse length and made sure I could get each side. Then each tail surface easily came from what was left over.

I am not using the light weight cloth that can with the kit,I am using medium weight.

Gizmo, I was able to cut both sides from one length of fabric. Haven't got to the tail section yet but I'm confident I can get it an have plenty to spare.
I know that's not what you asked, but.... :-). I'm using the medium weight Ceconite.
