Brian, maybe they have changed the content of the hardware kit since I bought mine in 2011, but my standard kit included so many extra 10-32 washers (both thick & thin) and elastic nuts that I never had to buy more. In fact I am still using them today for misc projects. The bolts were a different story; had to buy many extras thru the build. Fortunately for me, Van's Aircraft factory is in my area and I could just run over there to get standard hardware and electrical wire, terminals, etc.

You're probably right Jim. I have a ton left, but I bought a bunch of extra, so I have no idea what came with the kit vs what I ordered later. Early on, I assumed you didn't get much extra, so I bought more.

I found the kit to be very generous with extra nuts, washers, rivets, screws, cotter pins, but not bolts.
