I still have my VHS tape, poster and info kit from waaay back in the 80's. Drag them out every so often and relive the beginning of the dream. Now I can go fly the real thing and it feels sooo good.

    They made posters?!!!!

If you have a good camera or a newer phone, take a good pic of it, PLEASE!

I'm sure we would like to see some of the advertisement materials made back in the day.

I wonder if there are any digital conversions of that VHS tape anywhere? hmmmm.

Of course there are - we all just watched them on YouTube. You can copy them.

So Steve, how many total hours are on 85DD now? I took my first ride in the factory demo in 1985. Started to borrow the money to purchase a kitfox three different times over the years but talked myself out of it. If I couldn't pay cash, I wouldn't buy it. Two years into my build and I am debt free! Today, I am closer to flying than I was yesterday. What a journey!!

Being debt free is well worth the effort. I did the same thing and got to retire early. You will not regret it! Hope you are enjoying building your Kitfox.

    Stan,
In plane years, 85DD is still a pup! She got her AW in 1986. Total Time on Airframe is now 1,337 hours. In 1999 a Rotax 912A 80 HP was installed which now has 678 Total Time on it. I've put close to 400 of those hours on the engine.

    Yeah, beautiful, ain't it?
In my pre-buying stage I met a guy that went to the manufacturer (we live in the Netherlands...) and got this video on VHS.
I sort of saw it by coincidence - but it surely got the seed of greed growing!
And now I have build one myself.
    Unbelievable, undiscribable.

Absolutely beautiful! I've been watching that for years and never get tired of it. Some of you might remember back in the 90's when Denny Aircraft sent out some VHS out to subscribers of this version of Jimmy Franklin's performance. Needless to say, after seeing the routine, I was hooked!
