    Default Rear Access Bulkhead

The forward bulkhead (for the rear access plate) appears to be about an inch too large (1/2 inch on each side) both at the top and the bottom. I assume that I am supposed to cut it down - or do I have it in the wrong place. I am mounting it just to the rear of the three vertical braces that join largest rib intersects ( p 58 of the manual).

    Thanks

Yeah, I had to cut mine down also. Called Kitfox about this as it seemed unusually large and they said to trim it down.

    Happy building,

Thanks John - John & Deb Mc are probably on vacation today so haven't responded yet.

Tom, you do have to trim the bulkhead about an inch.

Here is a picture of how mine turned out from my albums.

Thanks Scott. Mine looks similar to yours now - except yours appears to be MUCH cleaner!! You are apparently better with epoxy than I am.

I had lots of practice by that time. I had already finished up the wings and tail surfaces. Good luck Tom
