    Default Wings and gross weight

Do Model 3 wings bolt right up to a model 2? I have a model 2 with a 950 gross weight, and if I understand correctly, you get your gross weight from what the wings can hold? So if the model 3 has a 1050 or better gross weight rating, bolting those wings to my plane should theoretically up my gross? I only have 400 pounds useable, so any extra would help greatly!
    Thanks
    Andy

Question Re: Wings and gross weight

    Hi,

I think there is more too it than just the wings themselves.

The lift struts , and the top and bottom fuselage carry through tubes would need to be upgraded to support more gross weight.

Then is the landing gear attachment / structure able to support more weight ?

Lift struts are shorter on a Kitfox 2 than a 3. That puts the strut fitting on a 2 closer to the fuselage than on a 3. Jim Chuk
