The diagram on page 11 under fabric covering section of the ss7 build manual shows a 2" finish tape running the full length of the wing over the rear spar area. I see the point in capping off the partial #2 rib, but why continue that tape to the wing tip?

    Hi Ken,

Once the fabric is shrunk, there is very little space between the fabric surface on top of the wing and the rear spar at the midpoint between each pair of ribs.

The purpose of the tape running the full lenght of the wing over the rear spar is to provide additional reinforcement in the event there is any contact betwen the fabric and the top of the rear spar.

Similar to running tapes on the fuselage where the fuselage tubing contacts or is very near the fabric.

    Sincerely,
