On the Mod. 7 SS trim actuator, have there been any problems, or has anyone given thought to water getting into the linear actuator by running down the shaft? It seems that this might be a distinct issue if the aircraft is parked outside during a windy rainstorm - for instance if you were parked on the field at OSH for a week. I'm wondering if some kind of a rubber collar or boot at the tube/shaft junction might be advisable... what do you guys think? Maybe the thing is sealed inside - I just haven't looked at it close enough to know. How many years has this particular setup been used? Anyone got a lot of hours on one that's been in the rain?
