Default Model III W&B Information Please

    Gentlemen,

I need the weight and balance information for a Model III. I do not have a builders manual.

Specifically I need the datum point, fore and aft limits, pilot/passenger position arm, and wing tank arm. A scan of the original manual page(s) would be great.

    Thanks!

My manual is in the hangar. I will try to get to it and scan the necessary pages, if someone doesn't beat me to it. I have the Excel spreadsheet to calculate the moments from the old Kitfox Website also.

    Gang,

Ralph was kind enough to send what he had available. However, for long term documentation I'd like to obtain a full set of Model III W&B pages from the manual, or (of course) a whole manual. Any suggestions?

    Hi Dan,

I had same issue for MKII spoke to Kitfox, they can supply manual on CD.

I think it was only $30, worth every cent to have a digital copy.

    What mods are you doing?

Upgrade to 4 stroke for me so new W&B is in my near future.

    Cheers,

    Rob.

    Hi Rob,

John at Kitfox was kind enough to send a scan of the original W&B pages.

No real mods. 912, GRT Sport, GTR-200, GTX-327 w/mode C, and some fat tires. Light and simple.

Brand new old airplane (yeah, there's a story). Getting it ready for its initial DAR inspection, then Phase 1.

Good luck with the inspection Dan. Looks like a nice Kitfox. Enjoy every flight.
