    Default still covering!!!!

Would someone have any finished or just covered pictures of the belly of the vertical tail and the very aft of the vertical tail. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the instructions.

    Thanks in advance,

My way of doing it. Not necessarily the best way of doing it.

    First a photo:

I glued the belly fabric to the outboard longerons. After heat shrinking the belly I overlapped each side fabric to the inboard longerons. In the photo I have only one side glued.

Sometimes I jump in before knowing exactly how I'm going to complete the task. This was the case with the fabric that wrapped around the tail wheel mount. When I arrived at that point the fabric told me what to do. It worked quite well in this case but, this strategy hasn't always resulted in success.

In spite of my being a little vague, I hope the photo helps.

Good luck and, all the very best.

After attaching the vertical stabilizer fiberglass fairing, I filled that joint with foam and after sanding to shape, covered it with a thin layer of fiberglass.

phintz have you watched the installation video? It is not airplane specific, but Definately worth watching. Also probably not soon enough but there will be a two day training course in November for installing PolyFiber. Go here for more info and scroll to bottom. https://spenceraircraft.com/events/

    Good Luck!

    Patric,

A couple photos attached of how we finished this section off on out KF7.

First one is with the primer/paint on before covering, second is with the belly fabric on.

Last one is how it looks with final paint and rudder in place.

    Sincerely,

    Dave S
