I'd second JohnB's recommendation.....been to their shop.....several of their folks are also Experimental aircraft builders; and, they have shown to be right on top of the knowledge base on new & all garmin products as well as what works and what does not in the avionics world. They will help you along the way.

Stark Avionics will be your cheapest solution for experimental aircraft avionics. At least that has been my experience. They sell Garmin products and offer significant discounts.
