Default Model 2 wing inner spar

We have, so I've been told model 2 wings. It has an aluminum inner spar piece. The weird thing is you can only see the vertical web, not the horizontal pieces of the I beam. There is also some type of epoxy that appears to be covering up the horizontal pieces of the I beam all the way down the wing. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Someone else can confirm, but I think at one time there were spars that had the web directly integrated into the spar... as in they were all one piece, not slid in.

It sure looks like a integrated piece, for sure. Can any one confirm that?

Yes the Model 2 had an integrated web. Dan Denny had them made special. No insert was used.
