On the first picture of the first thread Dan B, has a carbon panel bolt on a nice round contour dashboard do you know where to get those?

Sorry Eric...this one slipped past me.
That molding is the handiwork of DesertFox1 (AKA Papa). There were only a hand-full of them made over 10 years ago and I was fortunate enough to find one stashed in the corner of a hanger. I believe the mold is long gone.

Found the mold, it needed a little work but is now ready. I'm forming
one for Mark N next week and will run a couple extra. The part is
thermoformed from a weatherable material and is not structural, it is
a trim piece. Been using this type on the SS7, works fine, but the
challenge for the model 4 part is the custom glare shield you must
    fabricate.

Eric, flat pieces of carbon fiber are available from dragoplate.com.
    Very nice, quite pricey.

The SS7 does come with a fiberglass glare shield in addition to the aluminum panel.

Fabric over fiberglass for the glare shield, you can trim it to extend over the panel about as much as you want.

Only the fiberglass glare shield is included in the basic fuselage kit. The fabric I used came with the interior seat cushions and upholstery kit (optional from Kitfox). The fabric is attached to the glare shield with 3M spray glue. Be careful when you spray the glue on the backside of the fabric; I had a few globs that soaked thru and made some unsightly spots on the top surface.
