Default Run the engine with the wings folded?

I seem to remember a photo the builder of my mod IV took running the engine with the wings folded. I'm now finally to the point of breaking in my 582. Would it hurt anything to run it folded up?

I have run my ss7 with wings folded on the trailer. No problems noted.

By the way, that is with travel supports installed.

I have it hooked to the tow bar and tow it around with my six person Polaris. I can't imagine that little 582 dragging a small car.

One thing to keep in mind, with wings folded and tail on the ground (unless you have nose wheel) the fuel pick up will be unproved unless you have the tanks full enough. If they are that full they might leak out of the filler or vent, the filler/vent then being lower than the pick up.

    Just a thought.

Thanks Ralph, I only have enough for the one hour break in. And it's on the tow bar which lifts the tail slightly. So I hope it draws fuel from both tanks.
