First Engine Run
On Sunday we ran the engine for the first time. Rotax 912ULS, brand new but 8 years old. Ran great. Inspection in about two weeks! I've given notice at work so it is time to get this thing flying, tested and then get out there!
BTW, there is an article in Flying Magazine about the mid-air collision I mentioned a couple of months ago.
First photo shows me burping the engine. The next one is of it running followed by my getting out afterwards and then a post run check in the hangar.

I'm in this stadium in a couple of weeks, you have no idea how hopefull these stores & pics are to a novice :-))

Nothing like the sound of twenty grand starting for the first time. Good luck with the inspection (I'm waiting on my DAR).

It's only been a little more than a year since I did my first start...It is certainly a magical moment. Only second to the first flight.
