    Default Header tank materials?

Any opinions on the difference between the aluminum tank and the "roto molded" plastic tank for the header tank?

I lean towards the aluminum. Some have had problems with the plastic tanks leaking. Never heard of a plastic tank rupturing or cracking.
I also have slightly more volume in the aluminum tank for just a little more flight time in case of a "low fuel" situation.

Vinyl Ester resin with glass fibers has proved to be reliable in Glasairs and is also compatible with auto fuel even with ethanol. I made a couple of tanks so that I can switch tanks and still have a header tank in the system. I also added a filter for each tank.
