Haven't gotten too much feedback on my request:
I am tentatively planning to fly my Kitfox to Oshkosh this year from Portland, OR to KOSH. I would very much appreciate suggestions of what others have done as far as fuel stops, overnight stops, fun (maybe grass) fields, etc. I have a maximum of about 3 hours or so bladder between stops, and would probably limit a day's flying to 6 or so hours. Scenery and sightseeing would be nice, but mostly want to get there and back in 2-3 days at most. Of interest would be a more northern route and an alternative somewhat more southern route.
Thanks to those who did respond.

I’ve been contemplating going this year but my route is far to the south of yours ie. Southern AZ.
Last time I went, I had a faster Glastar taildragger and ended up parking with the GA crowds. I’m very interested in landing and parking at the ultralight field if I take the Kitfox this year.

Is camping allowed with your plane in the ultralight field?

    Jim,

I would have replied to you right away, as a few weeks ago my plan was to fly the Kitfox to OSH for sure, but life got in the way again and it’s highly unlikely that I’ll have the airplane ready and out of Phase 1 by then. One way or the other I may get there, but I’m not sure.
