    Default glider towing

ok unusual question. Has anyone towed a glider with a kitfox?
there is a glider club starting up locally and they are using a cessna 150 at the moment. When they seen the performance of my Kitfox they came and asked if I would like to start towing them to 3000 feet AGL. Sounds interesting and I am toying with the idea. I have the 912s

    What are your thoughts?

    Default Re: glider towing

Towing gliders with experimental aircraft is only permissible with E-LSA aircraft. E-AB may never tow gliders even if they meet the qualifications of E-LSA.

If you have an E-LSA certificate the FAA allows glider towing of LSA gliders, Providing you get 100 hour inspections.

If you have an E-AB certificate, you cannot tow gliders of any weight. The airworthiness certificate is issued with a restriction prohibiting towing gliders, banners or parachute jumping.
