    Default play in bell crank

    All,
I have very little play on the clevis pin in the port-side of the aileron-bellcrank. It turns out to some 1,5-2mm free play of the stick left-right. Not to be very much concerned of, but the other side of the bellcrank seems to be free of play.
    How's yours??

I bought my IV as a project, and this part was already build, so I'm not too sure what it could be, or how it is ment by design. The manual said ¼"clevis, and the clevis-part I can see & measure is exactly that.

I'll try and dismantle the clevis next week, but perhaps you have some ideas?
I'll look at the state of the pin itself (is it worn, and if so: why?), and at the hole. I can't make it up from the manual but: is the hole pre-drilled? Or had the builder drill or ream himself (e.a. is it possible a larger drill has been used...)?

Any answers would be highly appreciated- again!!

Hans, I too built a IV Classic flying now for 1 1/2 years. I have alittle play side to side in my stick but considering the amount of linkage, this seems normal to me. I think you are right to investigate if you noticed an difference between right and left side to make sure nothing's loose or worn.
