    Today is the last fair weather day in the NW for awhile. The high pressure the past week or so has resulted in a pretty thick smokey haze in the Kittitas valley. I almost stayed in the pattern and landed after I took off it was so smokey, but there were so many students in the pattern I was afraid to try to fit back in. I made the most of it with a one hour trip around the Valley.

    great pic's Tom ..that is a short field ,..but just guessing by the shadows it's about 4:30PM or 9:30AM ..and the length of the shadow compared to asphalt,,it's closer to 800' ? just a guess the shadow on the brezzy ..iffin I'm guessing right it's morning

    Its about 3:30 pm. We're at 47 degrees latitude. I think the long shadows at the short strip are due to it being on a NE facing slope. Word is this guy is a model airplane flyer. The strip has been there a couple years and I have never seen an airplane real or model there.

    My wife calls this road where we take our morning walks the "Morning shadows road".

    We ran into weather on the way to 6M2
    So we went back to M48 and GaWilkie flew my 5 , and had breakfast at Hayes CAfe' a good morning anyways even though we didnt make it to 6M2
