    Default New Prop?

I have a Kitfox 2 with a 582, B gear box with a 2.58 reduction. Through some investigating, i have found out that my prop is not the best option for my plane and i am in the market for a new prop. I currently have the 66" 3 blade GSC Tech prop, and i am only flying 55-65mph. Also, my EGT is running way high, so i don't believe my prop is loaded heavy enough and it can't be adjusted. What are the best props for the 582 with the B gear box? And is it worth it for me to switch to the C gear box?

Check the accuracy of your tach.

GSC props have been run very successfully on these planes with a 582.

your Kitfox 2 should fly about 75 to maybe 80 mph

Get a reliable accurate tach -- ie Tiny tach
set RPM to 6000 to 6200 max tied up wide open on the ground static.
What is your EGT temp indicating? ( too high does not tell much)

GSC props work well but they limit the life on bades ot 500 hour or 5 years.
Cheap to replace the blades or if you want another prop get an IVO Ultralight set up..........

Nothing wrong with a B box on a Kitfox 2 - changing to a C will give you no gains really.

    Cheers
