Default Scribe lines on the wing tips

I have looked over my wing tips thoroughly and don’t see any scribe lines. Does anyone have a picture of the lines where I am supposed to trim the wingtips?

They should be about 1" in from the edges.

Are they on the gelcoat? The only lines I see look like they might be for a cutout on the front for landing lights.

my wing tips were very lightly scribed. Your looking for what amounts to a baby fine hair type line in the gel coat. Mine were only about 1/4 to 1/2 in from the edge and they weren't consistent all the way across. I had to find the line at one end and stretch tape to the next spot I could find. In the end my tape was straight and I cut the excess off. Beautiful.

If I were to do mine again, I would ignore the scribe lines and just make the tip square while removing as little material as possible

Definitely ignore the scribe lines. I wish I would have taken a "before" picture of my second wingtip. There was a fore scribeline and an aft scribeline, neither continous, and they met at probably a 170 degree angle. I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the wingtips, and was worried about how much work the cowls would be. But my FFW fiberglass is MUCH better.

Just trim down to where you can get the top and bottom nice and straight. I used a laser line. If you do this, it's important to get the plane of the laser square to the wingtip or the line won't be straight where it goes around the curves of the tip.

Alright then. I think I am ready to undertake that project now. Thanks for all the input.
