    Default Model 2-3 Flaperon Adjustment

We have a model 2 that the flaperon angels aren't equal on. We don't have a manual that would give us instructions on how to adjust them. Can anyone give me some advice on where to set the control stick for neutral, and the nominal angle to set the flaperons at, or have a photo copy of the instruction on how to set and adjust them. Thanks

I just rebuilt and have recently sold my type III. First of all if you own this airplane and plan to work on it, it's essential you purchase a manual. Aside from that I'm sure there are much more knowledgeable people than I that might want to chime in here.

I have a type III manual that I had printed from the CD that you are welcome to for my printing costs and mailing, $25.00 if you'd care to have it.

I've never adjusted the flaperons on a kitfox, but have on an Avid Flyer, and they are essentially the same. I would make sure the stick ends up centered when both flaperons are at neutral. Basically, you want each flaperon to go down and up the same amount as the other one. Clamping a 2' long stick on each flaperon and measuring off the stick exaggerates the movement, and is helpful to see the changes the adjustments make. Hope that made sense. JimChuk
