    Default gas cap seals

    i know ive read it on here , but cant locate it . i need to know what anyone is using for wing tank fuel cap seals ? i think i have one not sealing up too well as im getting some stain on the top of the wing and possibly some fuel transfer . thanks

    I got replacement seals at my local John Deere dealership. Just bring In the cap to match up the correct one.

    Bingo.... the quick read is go to an implement dealer or farm supply place - the KF fuel caps are basic tractor technology and that shouldn't cost too much.

    BTW - I also use a fuel funnel for the KF that fits an international M gas tractor......

    Simple is good....

    Got mine from the local FBO for $5 each, they are for a Cessna 150.

    I've been using leather for years.You can get a thick piece from a textile shop or tack shop. I use the old gasket as a template and cut a new one from the thick leather. Ethonal dosen't affect it and last for years.
