    Default Bent tail wheel?

    Hi Fox-ers,

    Finally have another Fox !

But it has a tail wheel problem. It "tilts" about 10 degrees to the left. It has a Matco tail wheel on a 3 leaf spring.

Could I send a picture to a couple of you, and have you look at the picture, and tell him if you think the spring is bent?

Don't know how the previous owner did that, but they were a low time pilot.

    thank, Grant

you could grind the seat of the mounting face with a 4"grinder to compensate for the bend.

The spring looks twisted to me.

    Options:

    1. Replace spring
    2. Take the spring to a local spring shop and have it rebent/straightened

I wouldn't grind on the spring mount.
