    Hello all,

we're just finishing the import process of a Speedster and the MD-RA (Canada) is asking for the controls deflections limits.

I can't find that anywhere in the building manual and POH.

Where can I find that info ?

    thanks

    Jacques,

The information you want is in the builder's manual which was provided with the original kit to the first purchaser - might need to check the documents you received when you purchased/imported the aircraft to find the builder's manual.

    Hi Dave

I do have the builder manual..but I can't find that info.
I found some info about bellcrank deflections but there should be ONE page where ALL controls deflection are given

I will keep digging in the manual..but so far..nothing

    thanks

Sorry, not so. The construction manual is a creation of the individual kit manufacturer. There is no standard format and I have never seen such a page in a Kitfox manual. The information you are looking for will be found in the manual where the assembly instructions for that particular part is being discussed. You mention it is a Speedster. There were two iterations of the Speedster. The first is a Model IV-1200 Speedster and the second was the Series V Speedster. On the Model IV, the rudder deflection is given as 30° right and left. In my manual this information is given on page F-D-4. It is a drawing of the rudder assembly and the travel info. is found in the top left notation and mentioned again on the lower left where the filing of the rudder stops to give the desired deflection is noted.

    Thanks Lowell

I found the 30° info on the drawing on page F-D-5.

Found the elevator info on page F-E-7 [ 30° - 35° for the UP] . For the 'down'...it's just said '' There should be plenty of 'down' elevator.

    Now ..the ailerons.

    thanks again

I don't think you will find that data specfied. The flaperons are rigged by following a specific procedure and the resultant stick and flap movement is determined by the geometry of the internal linkages. On the Model IV, the stops are not adjustable and are set by the stick movement limits in the torque tube. I Think you will find that procedure in the cover and finish section
