Thanks to this forum my ill handling Model 2 now flies great again.
After 12 years with a 532 I installed a Jabiru.
The Jabiru added 20 pounds and moved the CG forward but still in the envelope.
That meant my trim was off so I trimmed by pushing the Flapperon lever to the floor.
Aileron forces became very high and coodinated flight difficult.
Since I had not flown the plane for a year while making the engine switch, I did not connect the poor handling with the flapperon position since I used the flapperons to trim when flying with a 532.
There is a reason that the instructions have you set up the flapperons angle in relation to the wing for level flight.
I was able to move the Leading edge of the Horizontal stab down another 5/8 ths of an inch and this allowed the flapperons to return to the original angle.
Thanks Herman
