    Default Grommet Product Review

I was recently looking for alternatives to the rubber firewall grommets that came with my kit (KF4). Steve Kellander came across Precision Grommets and sent me an e-mail. They looked good enough to try, so I ordered two of them for my throttle cables. I installed them today and they made for a very stable transition. More on the install here.

I called it an E-Brake...I guess best called a Parking Brake. I have the Grove Parking Brake attached to a cable and a spring. The knob has a lock on it.

Ok, I like that. Better than having to run after the airplane when it starts rolling down the ramp like I did the other day

Thought I'd share one more item I just installed from Precision Grommets.
The picture is of a grommet made of Nylatron. I called and asked for a non-conductive grommet that could stand up to heat (for my #4 starter cable).
I'm told it will be good to 300 degrees.

rather than using a gromet and trying to bend the heavy starter wire around to get it thru the fire wall , i used a feed thru stud that worked really well . never any worries about chafing .
