Default Baggage compartment the Arizona Way.

Last winter I was lucky enough to visit DF4 and the Arizona Skunkworks. While there I noticed Steve built his baggage compartment from dacron and glued direct to the tubes behind the seat. An aluminum frame keeps stuff from falling on the linkages. I liked the idea and this is how mine turned out.

Also did the wide body mod as I could not believe the room in DessertFox4's Model IV.

And I almost have enough room for my Travel Guitar.

Looks good Norm. Two mods I love on the 4.

    Next, retractable gear.

Steve I guess I will have to come back south so you can show me how that retractable gear mounts.

Mike I sent you a PM. We can get together and compare notes.

Looks good Norm, but better get rid of that plastic header tank.

I fly out of CGB2 which is Carstairs. That is where the Model IV will be. I am close enough that a flight to your neck of the woods could be in the cards. I am also thinking about a KitFox Canada West FlyIn. Between Don in Kelowna, Mic in Lethbridge, you in Cupper, two others in Calgary and a couple in Edmonton I think we have enough to have a Canada west get together.

Does that make my baggage compartment "Arizona Style" too?

Looks more like Idaho back country camper. DF4 showed me how to use dacron to make the baggage compartment easy and light. Have you got your new Model IV in the air yet. We are all eagerly awaiting your reports. The plane looks great and I expect you've done a great job to make it the way you want it.
