Default Aerocet 1100 float rear rubber boot

just wondering if anyone knows where to get a new rubber grommet/boot for the water rudder linkage at the back of the floats. Aerocet doesn't have these & Whipline's are too big (need 2" outside diameter, approx). Has anyone replaced theirs with something else because they couldn't find one? Thnx for any info - much appreciated.

If yours is still intact enough you can do what I did to fix mine:

I just masked around the float where the rubber goes against fibreglass and then the same with the rudder shaft, and then smeared black tube silicone all over the old boot. Smoothed out with my finger and it looks and works good as new! And that's now 6 yrs ago...
