    Default oscillating tach

All, I have this Rotax tachometer that worked fine - until yesterday.
In take-off (full power) it began oscillating up to 6000 TPM (just the tach, not the engine). When lowering the RPM it stopped oscillating and pointed the right RPM.
Any suggestions what I can do?
    Anything highly appreciated!!

Check the wiring at the gauge. I had the same thing happen and it turned out to be a loose connection at the gauge. In my case, I had worked behind the panel and I think I inadvertently pulled on the wring bundle causing the problem. Surprisingly, it was not that loose but it sure did make the tach go haywire. I snugged it up and worked like it was supposed to.

Thank you for your reply - I will look at the wiring.
It also gives an answer to the question why the thing worked fine for 12 hours or so, and suddenly got mad..
