    Default Scale

I've been using a postal scale, accurate to .1 oz, for weighing Hysol prior to mixing. I'm almost ready to mount the wing strut brackets and want to be very accurate in the ratio for the hysol. My question is; is my postal scale sufficient or should I get a gram scale for more accuracy?

I can't comment on the need for accuracy but I can state that having an electronic gram scale has been extremely useful to me. I use it frequently for mixing Hysol often in very small amounts (quick spot fixes or the like) sometimes 6 grams combined at a time. It is also useful for many other mixing operations, epoxy primer, 5min epoxy etc.

With the 3m 2216, I just draw a line with a marker and make 3 marks
along the line (example an inch apart). Then I squeeze out two inches
of the one part, and three of the other part. Mix and use. It's pretty
    insensitive to exactness.

I use West Systems, and just use the pumps they provide and it always
    works fine.

Sometimes I use the System Three and mix it in cups filled to the same
level and it always works fine.

I'm no expert, but my feelings about these various epoxies, based on
experience. I think you only need to be fairly close and they will work just
    fine.

    Regards,
    Jeff
