Wow, a few weeks? Have you heard good news about turn around times? I thought the process takes 3 months plus or minus some weeks. If its just weeks then I will wait to register in January. I like the idea of holding off the tax man till 2019.

Well it went in today. When it returns I’ll post the turnaround time.

Yeh, it took a month and a half to get a reserved N number. Im not sure how long it really takes to register but the EAA posted someplace that I should submit 3 months before I expected to have my inspection.

I’ve had 340KF reserved for over a year so hopefully that won’t delay anything!

The EAA step-by-step certification guide does recommend requesting registration 90-120 days before you finish. Who knows how much safety margin that gives you.

Yeah I picked up a package at Osh this year and have read through it several times. I will call them today and ask!

Just got off the phone with Shiela at the FAA OK City registration office and she told me that they have 3 working days to turn an experimental registration around...
I should have my paperwork inside 2 weeks according to her!

Wow. Jeff, be sure to post when you get it. That would be so nice if that is true. Almost seems too good to be true. Registering mine in 2019 if its true.
