Default Anyone replaced the front spar ??

I'm replacing one of the front spars on my project. It was a quick build wing...........spar had some corrosion from storage. Would like to talk to anyone that has gone through this process.
    Thanks

I haven't replaced a spar but I did have to move a rib. Seems the Hysol is not so strong in shear on aluminum. A short, sharp swat with a hammer on a piece of end grain wood (short 2x4) should pop the ribs loose. Most of the Hysol will stay on the rib when it separates from the spar.

Be sure to heat it first to soften the bond.

IMO, You will need to completely disassemble the wing and rebuild it. I dont know how you could slide one spar out only.

It's the front spar, and already have it out. I'm glad it wasn't the rear one, that would be tough.
