    Default she finally gave in!

On Saturday my wife finally caved and willingly flew in our kitfox 6 from KOFK to KMCW (mason city IA) of course we brought back a new puppy for the kids! I almost called you Dave!! We averaged 132mph over but unfortunately we headed back a few hrs later. Top speed on the way home was 75mph. What a great plane for trips!

Congrats Patrick on your wife's first ride and your new puppy.

I happened to take my private pilot check ride at Mason City way back in 1982.

Wow! I'm jealous. Its been over two years now and I have made no progress in getting my wife to fly with me. I have tried everything: short trip to fun destination, food, with friends, beautiful calm day, etc.

    Do you have any advice?

I had my wife take an introductory flight at Stick & Rudder when I was up there for transition flight training. She went up with Preston and later Aaron in the KF. Boy did she get hooked. She's now working on her Sport Pilot's license after having soooo much fun in this bird. She has about 10 hrs after 2 trips to BOI from Albuquerque last April and just before the Kitfox flyin in August.

My wife getting ready to fly at Stick and Rudder. The best thing a guy who likes to fly can have is a wife who likes to fly!
