Well I didn't trim the cowl or get to rib stitching but did all the prep to stitch which was more work than I anticipated. Hopefully I will get the stitching done in the next few days.

That is looking really nice. Hopefully you will enjoy doing the rib stitching, once I got it figured out it was quite fun.

Josh, what fabric process are you using? The colors look different, and I don't see any finish tapes.

Hey Jim, it's manufactured by Endura. You actually don't need to rib lace as the primer is unbelievably strong. (If I try to pull it off my ribs it will rip apart the plys on the rib before separating from the wood[There is a special technique to remove it if you have to]) But we decided to rib stitch anyway as down the road you never know if it will effect insurance, resale (not that I ever plan on selling), or passenger peace of mind. So that's why you see the tape job looks as little weird. We aren't lacing where the laker leading edge is as the primer will bond to that.
Once we are done rib lacing we will have some finishing tapes go on. Then the whole wing gets primed with the same green stuff you see and then a urethane top coat. The primer blocks all the UV as well.

I got one wing laced up this afternoon. It took longer than I care to admit but about 1 hour of that was me taking time to wrap my head around the knots. Once I got in the groove, it took me about 15 minutes per rib. I had to individually tie (starter knot) each one on the rib that was directly next to the tank as I couldn't get my needle through to do the seine knot.

Getting the knot down takes some practice. Kind of rewarding though and goes rather quickly once figured out.

At 15 minutes per rib I would say you are very fast at rib lacing! I think it took us...my wife and I... about 10 hours per wing.

I attended the LSRM Training at Rainbow Aviation. Jasen Golden from Rainbow Aviation Services has a video on tying the modified seine knot for rib stitching fabric covered aircraft.
His example is extremely easy to understand. Just FYI for those just starting the Rib Stitching.
