Yes, that’s very close to what mine looks like also. In fact I thought it was mine for a second. Thanks you guys... sometimes I worry about things that really aren’t that important.

Hello.....mine is like that also. haven't flown the airplane yet though.
Well... got the Airworthiness Certificate on 3/22! No issues or discrepancies. I got my transponder/pitot-static check on same day, which is needed since we’re under the 30 mile veil of DIA. The inspector gave me a 100 nm radius around the airport, staying clear of the Bravo airspace of course. That’ll be great, as I can go up into Laramie & Cheyenne, WY, a little of Nebraska, and a bunch of airports in Northern Colorado including the mountains - Kremmling, Grandby, Eagle CO (Vale), Leadville, etc. I’m happy with that. I’ll get my Repairman’s Certificate this week also.
Taking it slow this week. I need to get some wax on the Oratex before I take it out to smash bugs. I’ll post pictures & maybe a flick of the first flight... probably in a week or so.

John,
Congratulations on getting your A/W cert.
I had a little smaller box to test the aircraft in; and, even that became claustrophobic as I neared the 40 hours!
The DAR that did my plane issued a wavier for the equipment. I believe it was good for 30 or 60 days - something like, as the repair station that could do the transponder was locate 30 km away from where I was hangared.
Keep us in the loop as you get out and play!

HI John,
A very big congratulations! Its been great watching your build and learning a lot from you - your posts are appreciated by many I suspect.
Now, isn't it just typical of J Revans to slow down and get everything in order before flying! I just couldn't wait!!! But that is probably why you have ended up with a magnificent build and will make sure the first flight is planned well...and planned again ... and checked .... and then flown with precision! I think that is called good airmanship!!!
Well done and have fun - look forward to the reports.
Best
