Looking for builders in Lakeland FL area

Hello!

I'm thinking of building my 1st plane and Kitfox is at the top of the list at the moment. I will be coming down from Canada to the EAA building fundamentals course in Lakeland Feb 3-4 2018 to see if building is right for me. I was planning on taking that course in Oshkosh the week before so I could stop in at the factory on the way home, but then the "Wisconsin at the end of January vs. Florida" hit me

It would be great to meet up with anyone with a Kitfox (finished or otherwise) on the Friday (2nd).

Mike, i'm only a 25 minute drive from lakeland. I have a KF 7 SS with an O-200 that i finished 1 year ago. I'd enjoy getting together with you and hopefully have favorable flying weather for us to go up. Ken

I expect to be in Lakeland for a Sun n Fun fly-in meeting on Feb 3 and so will make a point to be there the afternoon of Feb 2 to visit with you. I am in Ocala, Fl 115 miles N of Lakeland and am building a Model IV-1200 with Rotax 912 and IVO prop.
I hope Ken can fly his bird down because I have seen it and it is outstanding but differs a bit since it has the 0-200 engine.
