So the big question then is there a double piston, double puck brake option for the 40-60 wheel?

If anyone is interested in a pair of 40-281 wheels with brake disc and calipers I would be willing to sell mine. I need to go to a double puck set up for the 26 or 29" bushwheels and Grove is the better choice for that. Make me an offer. They are in good shape with about 270 hours on them.

I am going to try the stock setup first. I fully understand that it my be inadequate but I rarely if ever use any heavy braking.

Double Puck option on page 21:

    Update and another question.

Been flying the 26" Alaska Bushwheel tires on Alskaka Bushwheel wheels with my Kitfox stock Cleveland brakes. Everything fit fine but the brakes are barely adequate.

Therefore, I ordered the double puck brakes from Airframes Alaska to go with the wheels. Unfortunately, the torque plate bolt pattern does not fit my gear leg (type 1) bolt pattern and I am not sure if I will be able to re drill to fit.

Does any one know of a torque plate that will work with Airframe Alaska brake calipers and the Kitfox gear leg bolt pattern. I already spoke with Airframes Alaska and Kitfox Aircraft and they were not aware of one.

    Thank you,
    Maxwell Duke

I am invested in 2 sets of Cleveland 40-60 (essentially same as stock Kitfox Cleveland 40-281)wheels.
Bryan nailed the question. Does anybody have an answer? If not I guess I will have to change wheels and brakes. Bummer.

"So the big question then is there a double piston, double puck brake option for the 40-60 wheel?"

I need to add; that also fit a Type 1 axle bolt pattern which is what Kitfox uses.
