yep, probably me, rimrock/tieton. supposed you noticed the non standard approach. a little tough checking the socks without getting down in the trees.
i really enjoy that place . wasn't many people camping.
ive had encounters with cows/crap there before but nothing this bad.
the plane needed washing anyway so i was forced into it when i got back.
i should have made a trip to the lake and got some water and washed it off there, it was pretty dried by the time i got back to yelm

Great pics Ross!
There's plenty of snow about, we had snow down to 300 meters this side of the hills.

Default Winters day OZ - Mt Beauty - Wagga - Rtn

It was such a nice winters day that we decided to fly up to Wagga - only a 100nm - and visit our elderly Aunty and Uncles. Took my 90yo uncle for a flight out over his old farm - I was a bit worried about his health but my cousin reckoned that if he died that night he would be happy! On return to the nursing home it was quickly confirmed that he had the most interesting day of all the residents!

Kitfox - turning a pretty ordinary day in a nursing home into a great one!

cheers

Leaving the valley- there has been a lot of rain and rivers are in minor flood

Wagga terminal - busy airport these days but no tower

My happy uncle Larry!

His old farm where I used to work in my youth

Lake Hume on the way home - always fun to fly under 2000ft to stay under the YMAY steps.

It probably meant more to him than any of us realize, but our turn is coming.

Hi John
They are concentrated mineral deposits. They change colors throughout the year. Google Spotted Lake. Quite interesting.
The Rogers Pass pic was actually at 9500. I have some quite neat pics of glaciers from the same trip. Was returning from a flyin at Fairmont Hot Springs. Had about 50 aircraft from as far away as Saskatoon and Vancouver Island.
